Viennese Prater

The Viennese Prater with it's Giant Ferris Wheel was renovated in 2008 and offers attractions for all age groups - from the classical carousel to the modern roller coaster, which let the adrenalin mirror rise.

The Viennese museums present art on the highest level and accommodate extensive, as well as various collections and works of art.
Vienna is also called the world capital of music.
Compositions like Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn and many other well-known artists are staged daily. The Vienna opera houses are internationally well-known. Also great musicals, for example dance of the Vampire, celebrated their premiere in Vienna. Pop and Rock concerts, as well as numerous festivals bring annually numerous guests to Vienna. The highlight in summer is the Danube Island Festival.


As former imperial residence Vienna has many impressive sights to visit. From the gothic St. Stephan cathedral to the baroque castles as well as the grand “Ring” street with State opera, Burgtheater, Votiv Church, City hall, the Parlament and the Nature historical and Art museums. A visit to the “Hofburg”, ”Schloss Schönbrunn” and the Zoo leads you on the traces of the emperor family. Contemporary architecture can be found not only in the Haas house, in whose glass facade the St. Stephans cathedral is reflected, also in the Gasometer (former gas tanks).


The Viennese kitchen is the only kitchen of the world, which has its name of a city. Classical meals are „Sachertorte “ (chocolate cake) „Wiener Schnitzel“ (meat), „Apfelstrudel” “and „Kaiserschmarrn“. You can find a special kind of cosyness and flair in the Viennese coffee houses and wine taverns.

Numerous parks and green areas invite the Viennese and their guests to relaxe and recover of spirit and soul. The Danube Island and the “Hauptallee” are meeting places for various sporty activities. Apart from the local recreation area the Danube Island, which originally was built as flood protection, is today also a nature reservation, in which rare birds and fish as well as beavers live.

This mixture of old and new, tradition and modern gives Vienna its unique flair.
